You are currently viewing Cornish Lithium – Building fame for the Green Revolution

As the UK accelerates towards electric vehicles and renewable energy, demand for lithium – a critical battery material – is growing rapidly.

Yet most lithium is sourced internationally, raising questions about supply security, environmental impact and the UK’s role in the global clean energy transition.

Cornish Lithium was pioneering new ways to extract lithium sustainably from Cornwall’s natural resources. But the story was complex, technical and largely invisible to the public.

The challenge was to build belief: in the technology, the opportunity and the role Cornwall could play in powering the UK’s green future.

By connecting Cornish Lithium’s innovation to the bigger national story – the shift to electric vehicles, renewable power and energy independence – we could move the conversation from industry niche to public interest and create advocacy across key stakeholder groups, from potential international investors, to each of their project’s local communities.

Through a cross-channel, omni-audience approach we positioned Cornish Lithium at the centre of the UK’s green revolution.

We coordinated a complex and extensive cross-agency and cross-partner collaboration, bringing together multiple messages and complicated topics to create a strategic comms programme tailored to audience segments and objectives.

National media, stakeholder storytelling and community engagement, brought the story of domestic lithium production to life – from investment milestones to local project developments – highlighting the innovation, responsibility and national opportunity behind Cornwall’s emerging lithium industry.
