We’re delighted to announce that our portfolio of clients has grown even further!

Cornish Lithium has appointed Wild Card PR to help build its profile both locally and nationally, working alongside regional specialists Curlew and financial consultants, BlytheRay. Wild Card PR will act as lead agency to reach the objective of obtaining and maintaining the support of the business’ key stakeholders, including the local Cornish community, government, investors and potential customers.

A bit about Cornish Lithium

Cornish Lithium was founded in 2016 and is using modern, sustainable exploration techniques and digital technology to re-evaluate Cornwall’s mineral potential in the light of the lithium battery revolution.

Lithium is a key component in electric car batteries, and Cornwall is underlain by one of five known large scale, bulk lithium enriched granite bodies worldwide. Cornish Lithium plans to produce a consistent, domestic supply of lithium for the energy transition, driving the UK’s electrical car revolution and creating a viable, lucrative and sustainable industry from the South West.

What PR support is Wild Card providing?

Wild Card’s remit will focus initially on the strategic positioning of the business, as a leader and innovator of lithium extraction. We’ll be working with C-suite executives – including CEO & Founder Jeremy Wrathall – to develop an overarching communications strategy that serves to build positive relations with the local Cornish community, whilst also capturing nationwide interest from media, government and the automotive industry itself.

The account will be managed by a Wild Card team that straddles London and Cornwall, and is led by Wild Card’s Managing Director, Georgie Upton.

Georgie explained: “This is an incredibly important piece of work and one we are delighted to be leading. As a B Corp business, we are passionate about the planet and our local community. It’s a privilege to be working with a business that’s not only leading the way in developing greener technologies but has the potential to rejuvenate the economy of Cornwall too.”

Jeremy Wrathall, Cornish Lithium CEO & Founder, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Wild Card PR as we develop our business and get ever closer to our goal of realising a lithium extraction industry here in Cornwall. Their thoughtful approach to our challenges and opportunities really stood out.”

We can’t wait to get started!
